Taxi
A good way to travel in Amsterdam is with a taxi. But only take a Uber of TCA taxi. From both you can find a easy working app in the Appstore or Google Play store. Never take a taxi at the street, they charge you often far too much. And if a taxi drives without using their meter, be warned, this is illegal! Only Uber is not using a meter legally.

Rent-a-Bike
Discovering Amsterdam like the locals do: rent a bike! Nearby (10 minutes walking) you find on the Overtoom 45 MacBike (www.macbike.nl). They have good reviews and you can order your bike in advance.

Some practical information
In the apartment we have a Nespresso machine. We strongly ask our guest to only use original Nespresso cups or aluminium cups of L'Or (they are great in taste) you can find in the supermarket Albert Heijn on the Museum square (Museumplein). Nespresso you can find 7 days a week at the Nespresso store, just around the corner. The address of this store is: PC. Hooftstraat 128 (3 minutes walking).

Below the apartment you will find a wines and spirits store with a great selection of wines. They are open from Tuesday till Saturday. On the 'museumplein', behind the Stedelijk Museum there is a supermarket 'Albert Heijn'. They are open daily from 8:00 till 22:00.

Restaurants
Amsterdam got so much great restaurants, we select a few of them, the places we loved to go to!

Conservatorium Hotel
Just opposite of the street you can find the most beautiful hotel of Amsterdam. They have a brasserie and a fine dining restaurant 'Taiko', where you can eat the most amazing dishes in Eastern style. And to experience the metropolitan way of living in Amsterdam, you have to visit the 'Tunes' bar, to discover one of the over 40 different Gin & Tonics!

Brut de Mer
Our most favorite fish restaurant is Brut de Mer, located in 'De Pijp'. Only 12 minutes walking. The place to eat fresh oysters and amazing dishes with lobster. They serve a lot of wines and champagnes by glas. You can choose to sit at the bar (be in time, every evening it's full) or reserve a table.

Chang-I
Chang-I is a Chinese restaurant behind the concertbuilding. It's not just Chinese, they are also using the French technics in their dishes. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and with a good winelist. Just 2 minutes away from the apartment.
